Anderson Power PP15/45
The Anderson Power Pole PP15/45 series consists of single contact genderless housings that accommodate 3 "sizes" of contacts. The PP15/45 connectors are rated at 600V, 55A max.
The contacts, known as 15 Amp, 30 Amp and 45 Amp only differ in the wire size range that the contact accepts; the actual mating part of the contact is similar across the sizes, and therefore contacts of different "current rating" can be coupled. Contacts are produced in tin or silver plate. The silver plate contacts have a considerably higher mating cycle count.
Dovetail shapes on the sides of the housings allow multiple housings to be assembled into a connector of a number of poles. There are no colour specific mating keys in the PP15/45 series - any colour could be mated with any other colour..
A red and black pair of housings that have been ultrasonically bonded is available as a standard item.
Wire size ranges for the 3 contact sizes are:
15 Amp contact (p/n 1332): 20~16 AWG, 0.52~1.3mm² (closed)
30 Amp contact (p/n 1331): 16~12 AWG, 1.3~3.3mm² (closed)
45 Amp contact (p/n 361G3): 14~10 AWG, 2.1~5.3mm² (open)
Contacts listed as (closed) have tubular containment for wiring and may soldered or crimped. Contacts listed as (open) require crimping to terminate the contact on wiring.
Components are available separately - one housing and contact(s) are required per complete connector.
